My BABY

So my baby isn't really much of a baby anymore. Although I will always call her my baby. Shelby will be TWO this Sunday. I can't hardly believe it. Almost 2 years ago today I went into labor and it shocked the heck out of me. I had NO signs or symptoms of going into labor, never had braxton hicks or pains and she was always fairly high. She decided to come 7 days early! Much to our suprise, and luckily considering she weighed 8lbs 3oz.! Which also shocked us and my doctor! walk down memory lane! This was my last belly photo I took In the hospital, look at that dark hair! This is her first birthday party, about this time last year, look at how much hair she DIDN"T have! It is amazing to look back through her pictures and see just how much she has changed. When you live it everyday, day in and day out, you quickly forget and you tend not to notice exactly how much they are changing, they change so much and so fast. And this is Shelby TODAY! Maybe I will do a blog on her different milestone from the time she was born till now. That will have to be another time. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

We have basement walls now! The geothermal guys will be out Wednesday to start work on our geothermal stuff. They have to put in 4 wells since we don't have the yard space for the horizontal loops. The framer will be starting either next week or the week after! We can't wait for the framer to start. Here is a picture of the basement, this is standing in the basement looking out where the walkout will be. Eventually this big opening will be framed in, with a french door and a window on each side of the door. I am excited for the trees to start blooming, it is a great view. We also got Emma shaved last Friday. yes, yes, I know it is only in the 20's here. But she was a mess and I think she feels A LOT better! That and I don't have dog fur everywhere. For those that don't know, we have a bearded collie named Emma, not lassie but close. She is gorgeous with a full coat, if it isn't all matted up. Her fur is very hard to keep up with, so we have her completely shaved about twice a year. This is what she is supposed to look like This is what Emma looks like shaved! (this is an old picture but she looks like this now too) Shelby loves Emma since she got shaved, she just rubs on her and loves on her. I went out on our front room last weekend to find this! They are best buds! Shelby also wants to say Thank you to Auntie Chelsea for the gift. "Check out my new duds"!

Sorry

Ok, so I am still trying to figure out a few things with this blog, specifically resizing my pictures through photobucket, so if you got an email that I updated the blog and you came here and it was gone, SORRY! I deleted it because my pictures won't resize right! Still working on it.

We have a hole and footings!

Welcome to our BLOG. I have decided to start doing a blog instead of the babysite. So check in here often to visit and see what we are up to! We have started on our new house. Monday they started digging the hole for our basement. Tuesday they had the hole inspected and Tuesday afternoon they started and finished the footings for the basement and garage! Once they start framing I will post some pictures. We are having the Amish do framing, siding, windows, roofing, the beam under the house and the exterior doors. He said it will take them about 2 weeks! Very exciting! Shelby is starting to say a couple of words. She is saying bye, bye (more like buh buh) more and more. She told Mike bye, bye this morning when we left and was yelling at everyone bye, bye after Auntie Kimberly's shower. She is also saying ball. So she is getting the B sound down! She can say a lot of different letter sounds but just hasn't put them together with words yet. I can now get her hair up in pig tails also! Small pig tails but they are pig tails none the less. Funny story, the other night we were at Grammy and Grandpa's and Shelby was looking and Mike and I's wedding pictures and would point to us and babble. Mom was trying to get her to say, mama and dada when she pointed at us and they were going round and round about it for several minutes and finally Shelby turned around really fast and looked right in mom's face and said MAMAMAMAMAMA! Like okay, happy now, I said it so shut up! lol We are still working on the potty. Still pretty sporadic. Shelby is also blowing kisses now, which is really funny. She will smack herself in the face and then smack her lips together! Here is a bathtub picture! I LOVE IT, this is one of those I will show your boyfriend one day pictures Photobucket Here is a picture from Valentine's Day Photobucket We are anxiously awaiting Spring so we can get outside. Like I am sure most of you are also!
